Rating Methodology: How We Test and Score
Why this page exists
We are an independent comparison site for AI girlfriend apps and related adult services. This page explains, plainly, how we test each product and how we assign a score. The goal is simple: you should be able to check our work. If a ranking looks off to you, you should be able to trace it back to the weighted criteria behind it. We write as testers, not as resellers.
How we actually test
Every service is tested with a real account, paid for with our own money, over a minimum of two weeks. We never score a product based on its marketing page or a vendor-supplied demo alone. One writer owns the main test; a second reviewer re-checks the sensitive parts (payment, cancellation, moderation) to reduce individual bias.
- Account creation, real sign-up flow and age verification.
- Extended conversations to judge memory, consistency and answer quality.
- A full billing cycle tested through to actual cancellation.
- Reading the privacy policy and verifying how data is handled.
- Time-stamped screenshots kept as evidence.
Our weighted scoring grid
The final score out of 10 is the weighted average of six criteria. Weights are fixed across a whole niche so that products stay directly comparable.
- Experience quality (25%): relevance, memory and how natural the exchanges feel.
- Value for money (20%): real pricing, hidden limits, worth of the free tier.
- Privacy and security (20%): data collection, encryption, clarity of terms.
- Features (15%): customization, media, options actually available.
- Billing transparency (12%): ease of cancellation, no dark patterns.
- Support and reliability (8%): responsiveness, stability, incident handling.
Our independence
We use affiliate links and may earn a commission if you subscribe through them. This does not change our scores, the order of our rankings, or the content of any review. No vendor can buy a better placement, preview a test before publication, or have a review taken down. When a product disappoints, we say so plainly, even when it pays us. Known flaws are spelled out in full.
Updates and corrections
This sector moves fast: prices, models and policies change. We re-review each entry at least every six months, and sooner when readers flag a major change. Every page shows its last verification date. If you spot an error, tell us: we correct it publicly and date the correction.
